Today, we will spend the day at Tayrona National Natural Park, where we will see some of Colombia's most beautiful beaches. Early in the morning, we will start the trip to Tayrona Park, which will take only 15 minutes from your hotel to the main entrance of the park (El Zaino entrance). We will drive 10 minutes more from the entrance to the Cañaveral sector and from there, we will walk for about 1 hour across the forest until reaching the Arrecifes sector, where you will get great panoramic views of the park. Then, we will walk for 30 minutes more to reach the Arenillas beaches, La Piscina and El Cabo San Juan. You will have plenty of time to swim and relax on the beach. There are several restaurants and bars in the park where you can stop for lunch in the shade, relax, and admire the spectacular surroundings.

Around 3:30pm, we will start the journey back to the main entrance.

Note: Tayrona Park is usually closed from Feb 1st to 15th, Jun 1st to 15th and Oct 19th to Nov 2nd.

Early in the morning, depart for a small coastal community located approximately 45 minutes from Tayrona National Natural Park. Upon arrival, meet a local guide for a gentle 2 km walk (around 25 minutes) through lush scenery to a traditional Indigenous settlement nestled between the Sierra Nevada de Santa Marta and the Caribbean Sea.

Spend three hours immersed in an enriching cultural exchange to learn about local ancestral customs, daily life, and sustainable agricultural practices. Discover how the community cultivates cacao as part of a trade project that supports their local economy and cultural preservation. Gain insight into their traditional attire, artisanal craftsmanship, and spiritual heritage, including the sacred significance of the *poporo* and the nearby ocean in their cosmovision. During the visit, observe hand-weaving techniques, walk through community spaces, and gain a respectful, authentic perspective on local life away from standard tourist trails.

Following the visit, walk back to the vehicle and return to the hotel.

We’ll pick you up from your hotel in the morning to begin our journey to Cartagena. Along the way, sit back, relax and take in the stunning Caribbean landscapes. The drive takes approximately 4.5 hours, with opportunities to stop for a snack, a drink or simply to stretch your legs and enjoy the scenery.

Upon arrival, you will be dropped off at your hotel in Cartagena or at the airport, depending on your travel plans. If you would like to extend your Colombian Caribbean adventure, you can also add one of our Cartagena experiences or private tours to your journey.

However, Tayrona National Natural Park and some Indigenous communities may observe brief closure periods, typically in February, for conservation efforts and ancestral traditions. The tour ends in Cartagena. We will drop you off either at your pre-arranged hotel in the city or at Cartagena International Airport for your onward flight. If you wish, we can also assist you with arranging accommodation and additional services in Cartagena.
