After breakfast, embark on a responsible humpback whale watching excursion along the spectacular Pacific Coast of Nuquí, one of the best whale watching destinations in Colombia. During this approximately 2-hour boat trip, conducted in a covered vessel equipped with life jackets, you will learn about the fascinating migration, behavior, and conservation of the majestic humpback whales that arrive annually in these warm tropical waters.
Before departure, you will attend an informative interpretation talk covering whale biology, their incredible journey from Antarctica, and best practices for responsible wildlife observation. As you navigate the Pacific waters, keep an eye out for spectacular displays such as tail slaps, dorsal fins, flukes, and even breaches, creating unforgettable moments in one of South America's most important marine wildlife destinations.
During the non-whale season, this experience is replaced by an authentic artisanal fishing excursion. Accompanied by your guide and a local fisherman, you will learn traditional fishing techniques passed down through generations while gaining insight into the daily life, culture, and traditions of Nuquí's coastal communities. This approximately 2-hour community-based tourism experience offers a meaningful connection with the region's people, natural environment, and rich Pacific heritage.
Following the excursion, return to the eco-lodge for lunch and spend the afternoon relaxing on the beach while enjoying the breathtaking scenery of Colombia’s Pacific rainforest and coastline.
