Your tour will begin at Parque Santander, one of the city’s most traditional squares, surrounded by history, culture and remarkable colonial architecture. From there, we will continue to Palacio de San Francisco, an important religious and historical landmark dating back to the colonial era.
We then arrive at the iconic Plaza de Bolívar, the political heart of Colombia and home to some of the country’s most significant monuments, including the Catedral Primada de Colombia, the Capitolio Nacional and the Palacio Liévano, Bogotá’s City Hall. During this part of the experience, you will discover the fascinating colonial past of Colombia and the stories that shaped the nation.
Our journey continues through the charming streets of the historic centre towards Palacio de San Carlos, passing beautiful colonial mansions, the Museo Militar de Colombia and the elegant Teatro Colón. At the end of the ride, our bicycles will take us to a unique culinary experience where we will prepare one of Colombia’s most beloved traditional snacks: the empanada. Together, we will celebrate the rich diversity of Colombian flavours through a fun and interactive cooking session.
Get ready to create these delicious bites that bring joy to any moment of the day, while embarking on an imaginary journey across Colombia’s regions and their distinctive culinary traditions. Every empanada has its own character and identity, reflecting the diversity of our culture, something truly worth celebrating.
The experience will be accompanied by a traditional local beverage. Vegetarian options and dietary requirements are warmly welcomed; please let us know in advance so we can tailor the experience to your needs.
Hotel pick-up and drop-off are included for guests staying in the historic center; otherwise, participants will meet at the designated starting point. The route may vary depending on weather conditions, group interests, and cycling ability.
